I deliver most services myself, but I often work with associates on assignments requiring different skills or simply more people to do the job within the time allowed. This is always done by agreement with my client. I can draw on a network of associates and on this page I profile a few of them.
Dr Cormac McCarthy
Dr Cormac McCarthy is a business strategy consultant with wide experience of mergers and acquisitions, fund raising, company restructures, business planning and project finance.
He has worked at Managing Director levels in telecoms and information technology in Ireland and the UK and as a business development director oversaw the transaction and subsequent management of two acquisitions in Ireland. He was the project champion of eircom’s €3 billion bid for a 3G mobile licence in the UK and has advised companies in Germany and Ireland on strategic issues, project finance, business development, business planning and fund raising. He has been project director on a number of flagship World Bank privatisation projects in the water sector and has wide experience throughout Europe, the Americas and the middle east.
He has wide experience of the utility sectors, in particular water and the environment, infrastructure, telecoms and IT. He speaks French and German and has lived in the UK and Belgium and has worked extensively in Germany.
Cormac holds a BE (civil) degree from University College Cork, a MSc from UMIST (Manchester University) in construction management and a PhD from Birmingham in project finance. He is also a chartered engineer.
Cormac brings an excellent blend of hands on management of companies in periods of change, business strategy advice, international experience, M&A and start ups in both the blue chip and SME sectors.
